A new procedure has been created and applied for the first time in France and it allows that wood waste may become again products with proper environmental warranties. The decision signed on 29th of July 2014 means that wood waste (from used pallets for example) can be reused as fuel.

Biomass takes an important place in this strategy because it represents 50% of the additional objectives of renewable energy that must be achieved by 2020. The available resources that are needed to reach these objectives are represented by biomass, wood waste and agricultural biomass. The forestry resource is abundant in France, but also highly solicited. So, it is convenient to make the best use of it.
