1500 stere meters of firewood

Social Mission Diaconia is an NGO providing Humanitarian Aid to conflict affected Ukrainian refugees, host families, and the most vulnerable local population across Moldova. To this end, it receives private donations and public funding from various donors. NiN Ukrainian Refugee Support and Winterization Program is implemented in close co-operation with partner organisations Caritas Austria, Nachbar in Not (NiN) and Austrian Development Agency (ADA). One of the relief measures on the ground is the distribution of firewood.

During Stage I of the program, which took place during the winter 2022-2023, we acquired 1300 stere meters of firewood and distributed it to the Ukrainian refugees, host families, and the most vulnerable local population across 10 districts from Moldova.

Now the organization plans the acquisition and distribution of additional 1500 stere meters of firewood for the winter 2023 2024.

1500 stere meters of firewood needs to be delivered in batches. The first batch (which should amount to a minimum of 2 trucks of firewood per area/destination) has to be available during the 1st week of september. In the following 3 months, till end of November 2023, the remaining firewood has to be delivered.

The quantities per batch will be agreed by both parties after the signing of the contract. Note*: 1500 stere meters is the estimated quantity. As the final quantity of the wood may differ by 10% depending on the budget allowed for this acquisition, we ask the tenderers to take this into account when planning the stocks and calculating prices.
Packing The firewood must be packed in pallets to facilitate its loading/unloading.

Places of delivery Firewood should be supplied to 3 areas/destinations: North of Moldova (500 stere meters), Center of Moldova (500 stere meters) and South of Moldova (500 stere meters). DAP offers are expected. North area districts: Briceni, Dondu?eni, Drochia, Sngerei Central area districts: Ungheni, Nisporeni, Hnce?ti, Telene?ti South area districts: Leova, Cantemir, Basarabeasca, Taraclia Proof of origin The firewood must derive from sustainable forestry (please provide certification on sustainable origin of the firewood).
