Dried maple lumber

We are interested in exploring a potential collaboration to supply a US-based manufacturer of drawers and furniture components.

Before requesting a quote for a larger volume, we would like to clarify a few points:

1. Wood Specifications:
• What is the exact species of maple (botanical/Latin name)
• What is the country of origin, and where was the timber harvested
• What quality grades are available (A/B/C or other classification systems)
• Is the wood kiln-dried to 10 moisture content Can you provide a drying certificate or report
• Is the lumber edged or unedged What dimensions and quantities do you currently have available
• Could you send us recent photographs of the material

2. Processing Capabilities:
We would like to know if you can supply the wood in specific dimensions based on the client39;s requirements, including:
• cutting to specified lengths, widths, and thicknesses;
• planing and thickness calibration;
• defect removal and quality grading.
Please specify which operations you can perform and how these affect the price per m³.

3. Exports to the United States:
Do you have experience exporting lumber to the US or other countries outside the European Union
We need to confirm whether you can provide the documentation required for importation into the US, specifically:
• documents verifying the legal origin of the timber and identifying the species (required for the Lacey Act declaration);
• documentation regarding wood treatment and drying;
• a phytosanitary certificate, if required based on the level of processing and import conditions. • Appropriate packaging for export, including pallets compliant with ISPM 15, if wooden packaging is used.

4. Price and availability:
What is the available quantity, and would you be able to ensure regular shipments, including quantities sufficient for 40-foot containers
We would also be interested in the price on an FCA basis—at your loading point—with export formalities included.
We can arrange the international transport ourselves.
