We buy structural timber directly from manufacturers and depots, and we are looking for a regular supplier, not a single order.

WHAT WE NEED

1 - Glued laminated timber GL24h or GL24c, spruce or pine, for the main trusses. Sections around 140 x 240 mm.
2 - Solid structural timber KVH C24, finger jointed, for the secondary structure at 80 cm centres. Sections around 100 x 120 mm and 80 x 160 mm.
3 - Tongue and groove boards and battens, if you produce or stock them.

HOW WE WANT IT QUOTED

- STRAIGHT beams only. No curves, no CNC, no cutting to length, no planing to size, no coating, no finishing. We cut everything ourselves on site.
- THE LOWEST GRADE YOU PRODUCE. Industrial quality, non visual. Knots, patches, colour differences, visible finger joints, rough surface and small end splits are all acceptable to us.
- BAR LENGTHS OF 6,00 m AND 7,00 m. These two lengths are what our roof needs. A 13 m bar cut down to 7 m leaves us with almost half the volume as waste, which we pay for and cannot use. If you only run 13 m or 13,50 m, please say so and quote your price per m3 anyway, we will decide.
- Full truck load quantity, and repeated loads over the year.

ONE REQUIREMENT IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

The timber goes into a load bearing roof in Italy, so we need CE marking and a Declaration of Performance to EN 14080 for the glulam and to EN 15497 or EN 14081 for the solid timber, with the declared strength class stated on the DoP. If you cannot supply the CE marking and the DoP, please tell us straight away: we would not be allowed to install the material, and neither of us should spend time on it.

THE QUESTION WE CARE ABOUT MOST

If you make or stock a DIFFERENT PRODUCT WITH THE SAME STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCE AT A LOWER PRICE, please quote that instead of, or beside, what we asked for.
A lower grade, a different species, a different bar length, a different section, a stock lot you want to clear, an item that is standard for you and therefore cheap: we are interested in all of it, as long as the CE marking and the declared strength class are there.

We are registered for intra EU VAT (VIES), so please quote without VAT.
