OSB is manufactured in a cross-oriented pattern similar to plywood to create a strong, stiff structural panel. OSB is composed of thin rectangular-shaped wood strands arranged in layers at right angles to one another, which are laid up into mats that form a panel. OSB is bonded with water-resistant adhesives. 1.What is OSB

OSB is Oriented Strand Board, is a board formed by wooden flakes,oriented in
3 layers perpendicular to each other,mixed with phenolic and polyurethane
adhesives pressed at high temperature and pressure.

2.OSB Types

Four grades of OSB are defined in EN 300 in terms of their mechanical performance and relative resistance to moisture:
OSB/1 – General purpose boards and boards for interior fitments (including furniture) for use in dry conditions
OSB/2 – Load-bearing boards for use in dry conditions
OSB/3 – Load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions
OSB/4 – Heavy-duty load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions
