State support for the manufacturing industry in the Republic of Moldova in 2025

Starting on January 1, 2025, the Government of the Republic of Moldova will implement a state aid scheme for enterprises in the manufacturing industry, including the wood processing sector. This initiative aims to stimulate investment and regional development, offering financial support and tax incentives to eligible companies.

Forms of support:
- Non-refundable grants, covering 25% of the investment value
- Tax exemptions: 75% reductions in income tax payments.

Total allocated budget: 2 billion lei, distributed as follows:
- 1.5 billion lei for tax exemptions.
- 0.5 billion lei for grants.

Estimated number of beneficiaries: approximately 150 enterprises.

Eligibility criteria:
- Minimum investment value: 10 million lei, excluding VAT.
- Own contribution: at least 25% of eligible costs.

Types of eligible projects:
- Creation of new production units.
- Expansion or modernization of existing units.
- Diversification of production.

Starting January 1, 2025, interested companies can submit application files to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. It is essential that the proposed projects fall within the priority sectors of the processing industry, including wood processing.
