Solid Timber Structures · Passive House
Design and construction of high-density tropical solid timber structures, entirely manufactured at our facilities on the island of Bali, following principles of sustainability, energy efficiency, and constructional precision. The project comprises two identical single-family homes of 350 m² each, developed in accordance with the Passive House Institute standards for implementation in Spain.
The structures are executed using laminated solid timber, assembled through traditional Japanese carpentry techniques without visible metal fasteners, optimizing structural performance while minimizing thermal bridges. This system ensures high dimensional accuracy, excellent control of the thermal envelope, and exceptional durability, fully aligned with the principles of passive architecture.
The modular design allows for complete disassembly of the structure at the factory in Bali, optimizing industrial processes, minimizing waste, and reducing the environmental footprint associated with transportation. On-site assembly is then carried out quickly, accurately, and cleanly, significantly reducing construction time, energy consumption, and on-site risks.
Door-to-door container shipping is managed in collaboration with a specialized logistics partner, ensuring efficient, safe, and fully controlled transport from origin to destination, in line with an overall sustainable construction strategy.
